Slow-Fly
glider for indoors or outdoors
The
full-size
This
single-seat all-wood sailplane was designed by Wolf Hirth in 1952, and
was the most successful competition aircraft for glider aerobatics until
the early 90’s. Many examples still survive in the hands of enthusiasts,
who lovingly maintain and look after them, with the result that they will
be flying for many years yet. Spectators are therefore still able to enjoy
watching these beautiful gliders at open flying days and competitions.

indoors? No problem with the LO 100 and a suitably powered slow-fly model
as tug. Just place both models on the ground, the tug lifts off and the
LO 100 takes off easily by itself.
When
a suitable gliding altitude is reached, the LO 100 is released by radio.
To save the weight of an additional servo, the elevator function is used
to trigger the release mechanism. Of course, the model can also be flown
outdoors in the usual way. If no tug is available, the LO 100 can be launched
at a flat-field site using a bungee cord. Slope flying is also possible
in light winds. Fuselage, wing and tail panels are supplied as lightweight
moulded foam components, and the surfaces are factory-finished, the trim
stripes already applied. Just apply the decals supplied to finish off the
model.
