Building on the success of the AIRDANCER the Robbe development team have succeeded in creating a model which has very great inherent stability and makes virtually no demands on the pilot’s flying skills — and all this at a price so low that it really has no competition. Basic airspeed is very low, and it does not increase even when the glider is forced down from a great height; this is an important feature, as it gives the new pilot plenty of time to think about and apply the correct control commands.

The Silence requires no prior experience, and can be flown immediately. All you need for flying is a small hill with a gentle breeze blowing up the slope, or alternatively you can use the bungee launch system which is included in the kit. In this mode you will achieve reliable, consistent launches time after time. Without any help from the pilot the model climbs to a good gliding height and automatically slips off the line as it makes the transition to slow, docile gliding flight. Flight times vary according to thermal conditions and the pilot’s skill in locating rising air. After a relaxing flight the model lands gently every time. 

The advantages of styrofoam as building material are exploited to the full in the Silence, as the ready-made parts reduce building time to a minimum and produce a model whose light weight makes it almost impervious to crash damage. The few parts in the kit require no glue to assemble, and no tools apart from a small screwdriver and a sharp knife. No painting is required, and the attractive colour finish is achieved just by applying the self-adhesive transfers supplied on the decal sheet. The only extra items required to fly the model are a low-cost 2-channel radio control system.  

We even do it as a ready to fly version with radio installed!

Need a 2 channel radio set?

Standard 2 channel radio equipment suitable for gliders, cars or boats.  Includes 2 servos, chystals and battery switch. The make depends upon availability, but would be either Sanwa Sabre, Futaba Attack or Acoms Techniplus.  (There is little difference in any!)
